Taste: Lemon Cherry Gelato really takes the lead on this one, coming in heavy with fruity sweetness that runs deep and is quickly balanced out by a rich backend of gas. Just when I expected that familiar Runtz profile to settle in, the Kush Mints side came in strong with a gassy finish that carried through the entire joint. It’s flavorful, layered, and full of surprises in the best way.

Smell: The nose is a minty fresh take on Runtz, but with a noticeable layer of fuel that cuts through the candy sweetness. I wasn’t sure how this combo would hit, but it works — the mint and gas bring a depth that keeps the jar from being one-note fruity.

Look: The small to medium-sized nugs are absolutely coated in trichomes. The greens are vibrant and varied — from a whipped avocado hue to mossy forest and deeper sage tones. A few scattered orange pistils add a pop of color, and the overall bag appeal is strong.

Preferred: Rolled up 2.5 grams of flower in a king-size wide Element paper with a 13mm glass rip-tip. Hand-rolled and burned beautifully the whole way.

Texture: The edges had a nice crispness to them, but once broken open, the cure revealed a soft and perfectly balanced interior. It ground down easily into fluffy material that was a dream to roll.

Ash: Ash was a cool chrome silver and held together in clean structure. What really impressed me was the gorgeous amber oil ring that formed early and eventually bled out onto the glass tip a clear sign of the quality and resin content.

Feel: This was a solid hybrid with a mellow but uplifting energy perfect for a mid-day smoke before a late lunch. I stayed focused but relaxed, and it carried just enough body to smooth things out without slowing me down.

Overall: Michigrown Bolo Runtz delivers where it counts taste, texture, bag appeal, and effects. Whether you're a fan of fruity Gelato crosses or looking for something with a bit more body and gas, this hybrid finds the sweet spot between both. The flavor held up, the ash burned clean, and the oil ring gave a visual cue to the quality inside the jar. If you're hunting for something flavorful and functional for your daily rotation, Bolo Runtz is worth a spin.
