Candy Blues Packaging and flower showing Dark greens and deep purples

Company: Peninsula Gardens

Strain Name: Candy Blues

Taste: I’m greeted with a platinum cookies-like gas that carries mid-tones of permanent marker, followed by a nicely balanced finish of both. It’s a clean burn with strong flavor up front, though I did pick up a bit of a smoky note toward the last quarter of the joint that slightly dulled the profile.

Smell: I’m getting heavy permanent marker on the nose, with maybe just a touch of that platinum cookies gassiness sitting subtly behind the loudness of the initial whiff.

Look: This flower is god-tier frosty with thick trichome coverage. Dark greens and deep purples form the base, with wild orange pistils running throughout and curling across the surface like flames. Visually, it’s striking and clearly well cared for.

Preferred: I rolled this one up in a king-size wide Element paper, paired with a 13mm glass rip-tip and ground it down with my Santa Cruz Shredder. It burned smooth and even, no complaints on the mechanics.

Texture: The cure felt spot on. It wasn’t too sticky and definitely not dry just that perfect middle ground that fluffed out nicely when broken down. It rolled well and stayed lit with no issues.

Ash: The ash stayed a cool snow bunny gray the whole way through. Given how flavorful it was early on, I was expecting a more pronounced oil ring, but it didn’t really show up like that. Still, it didn’t take away from the experience and combusted clean all the way.

Feel: This wasn’t anything that knocked me out or put a full end to my night, but it definitely had me feeling sedated and at ease. It’s more of a mellow unwind than a heavy hitter, great for when you want to slow down without fully checking out.
